About Dr. Barnhart

Dr. Barnhart is an orthodontist in Tyler, Texas, who loves her husband Sam and their adorable Australian Shepherds, Cody and Bentley. She loves making her patients smile and making sure each patient has a positive experience every visit. When she’s not doing amazing work in the office, you can find her water skiing, running, hanging out with her husband and dogs, or watching college football.

Dr. Barnhart is a Houston native with strong Tyler roots. Both of her parents grew up in Tyler, and attended Robert E. Lee High School. Her parents have maintained a home on Lake Tyler, where Dr. Barnhart spent a lot of time while growing up. In addition, Dr. Barnhart was inspired to become an orthodontist right here in Tyler when she was younger — when Dr. Reuland treated her as a patient!

Following her education, Dr. Barnhart took the extra step to complete the voluntary board certification exam and became a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Barnhart graduated with honors from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry, where she graduated third overall in her class. She continued her education in the orthodontic program at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry, where she received her Master of Science degree in Oral Biology and Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics.
